Mike’s Morning Brief – July 27, 2016

Market opened higher on the back of a better than expected earnings report from Apple.  Boeing is also having a positive impact in early trading.  Global Markets were generally higher as central banks continue to provide monetary stimulus.  A rumor out of Tokyo  has the BOJ announcing another aggressive campaign on Friday.  Japanese stocks were higher while the Yen fell.  The Fed 2-day meeting comes to a close today, and the statement is widely expected to keep a cautious tone, highlighting the global problems but also acknowledging US economic growth.  A rate hike is believed to be off the table today.  Hillary Clinton made history last night, officially becoming the first woman to be nominated President of the United States representing a major political party.  There’s a lot going on, and markets are moving.

Have a great day.
Mike
