John has over 20 years experience in the securities industry. He started his professional career as a business analyst for a small manufacturing company in Oakland. From there he moved to Chicago where he traded options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. As a market maker, he traded a portfolio of equity options while simultaneously managing all derivative risk.
He earned his B.A. from University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a focus on developing economies. John was a member of Cal’s 1992 NCAA Men’s Championship Water Polo Team. Outside of the office, John is kept busy raising three young sons.
